Unrest in Ethiopia killed 80 and injured hundreds

October 30 ,2012 (Dimtsi weyane) China.org.cn indicated the governmental Ethiopian Human Rights Commission (EHRC) disclosed yesterday that up to 80 people are believed to have been killed in the unrest in the past recent time.

As stated by China.org.cn, EHRC said, in a press statement on Wednesday that unrest which affected various parts of Oromia regional state and Ethiopia's capital Addis Ababa has resulted in up to 80 people being killed, hundreds injured and property damage estimated to be in millions of U.S. dollars.

China.org.cn mentioned EHRC to have further expressed that the majority of the deaths were caused by attacks using blunt weapons, with only 10 of the deaths caused by bullet wounds.
As reportedly said, EHRC has observed the majority of the victims were either stoned to death, beaten to death by sticks or burnt to death.
